We are planning an overnight family camping trip to Cedar Creek County Park from Friday, August 23 to Saturday, August 24. We have reserved Group Camping Area D, which is located between the Great Allegheny Passage Biking and Walking Trail and the Youghiogheny River. It is a tent camping area only. There is water and a restroom nearby and firewood is furnished. Everyone is responsible for bringing their own tent. We will plan to arrive at 6:30 p.m. but you can join us anytime between then and dusk, when the park is locked for the night.

On Friday evening we will set up camp and we will have a nice campfire that night with mountain pies, smores and other snacks. On Saturday morning we will cook breakfast at the campsite. After breakfast you can choose fishing, hiking or bike riding on the Great Allegheny Passage. Either bring your own bike or we can drive people to West Newton to rent bikes. It is just four miles from Cedar Creek Park. There is also the beautiful Cedar Creek Gorge Trail close by for hiking and the Yough River for fishing. There is even a boat launch if you wish to canoe or boat. You can stay as long as you wish on Saturday and leave at your leisure.

We are asking that you register at the church office. There are no fees for children age 16 and younger but all others are asked to contribute $5.00 each to cover the food and snacks.
